Nothing is more uniquely Australian than the amazing platypus. Did you know that when scientists first studied a preserved platypus specimen they thought it was a fake, that several animals had been sewn together. 😂

This platypus family is lovingly sculpted from polymer clay and is designed entirely from clay (no paint or powders). Every leaf, vine, flower and mushroom is individually sculpted. The sculpture is mounted onto the timber base using a liquid bonding clay.

This is a one of a kind unique sculpture and her exact design will not be replicated.

Materials

🌿All of my creations are made from professional art grade polymer clay. It's an amazing sculpting medium known for its versatility, that once fired in the oven sets rock hard, is waterproof and is extremely durable. 

🌿Your adorable Australian animal has black glass eyes, and is created using only polymer clay and possibly chalk pastels for highlights. No paint is used on this sculpture.
